Yes, during operating hours — but only for supervised activities.
Rescue service is provided during operating hours for:
• Students learning kitesurfing with Kite Praso
• Wing foil riders using the flat-water side under normal operating conditions
No rescue service is available outside operating hours.
Early morning and sunset sessions take place with offshore wind and no rescue coverage. Riders choosing to enter the water during these times do so entirely at their own risk and must be fully independent, experienced, and capable of self-rescue.
If your goal is simply to try something new for a short time, surfing is the best option out of the three. Surfing gives you immediate contact with the water and the environment, requires less technical preparation, and delivers instant fun from the very first session. You don’t need wind, complex equipment, or multiple learning steps — you paddle, catch waves, and enjoy the experience right away.
Surfing is also a smaller investment in terms of time, energy, and learning commitment, making it perfect if you’re visiting Prasonisi for a day or two and want to enjoy the ocean without pressure. It’s relaxed, playful, and rewarding, while still giving you a true watersport experience.
Kitesurfing and wing foiling are incredible sports, but they require more time to learn and are best enjoyed when you can commit to several days. For a short stay or a first taste of watersports, surfing is the most accessible and satisfying choice.
